Hope City Community Service: Mandela Day Project

July 15, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The former president of South Africa and Nobel Peace prize winner, Nelson Mandela, spent 67 years fighting for social justice. The UN has recognised his contributions to humanity and have declared, his birthday, the 18 July as Mandela Day. This is the time where everyone has the chance to give 67 minutes back to their community. This can be from simple gestures like picking up litter to visiting the elderly. You can even help out a worthy cause that you believe in.

This year, we are planning to help God’s Little Acre farm. It was all started by one man with a vision to provide food for the needy. They do this by growing and giving out free produce to soup kitchens and various grass roots groups. They operate solely on the help and charity of others. So for this year, at 10 AM on Saturday, July 15th, we plan to volunteer our time to help them with their cause.
